Halifax Mission Week 4, July 23 - 29, 2017
Halifax Mission Week Four
Sunday, July 23 to
Saturday, July 29, 2017
This Monday, we drove out
to Peggy's Cove, the landmark lighthouse of Nova Scotia. It was a beautiful
drive – Nova Scotia is so lush and green and we enjoy all the flowers and trees
here. We drove along the coast and had beautiful views of the ocean, but it did
start to get a little hard on Kathy’s stomach after a while, as usual! When we
arrived at Peggy's Cove, we decided to have some lunch. Kathy had a lobster
roll and Fred had some seafood chowder. We are starting to enjoy all the
seafood that this area offers!
Then we hiked over to the lighthouse and climbed on the huge rocks in the area. The views out to the ocean are so beautiful! We can't get over how vast the ocean is.

Wednesday to Saturday are the days that we work
at the temple. On Wednesday, Fred had to do some printing that was needed at
the end of one of the sessions. He had some problems printing with his computer
and was getting some people in Salt Lake to help him. Everything took longer
than we had thought, and we didn't know if the printing would get done when we
needed it. But the problems were solved and the printing came off the printer
just in the nick of time. We always know that Heavenly Father is in charge and
that He helps things to go smoothly at His temple!
On Wednesday evening, we had Robin (the YSA-aged girl from our ward) and the sister missionaries over for dinner. We had taco salad, one of Kathy’s specialties, for supper and we all enjoyed it. Afterwards, Robin took us to see the Cow Bay Moose – a statue of a moose in the community that she lives in.

Much of Thursday and most of Friday and Saturday we spent at the temple. There's much for us to learn and do. We are really enjoying working with the wonderful people that we have met here. They are so kind and helpful. We can't believe it has almost been a month since we left Calgary. We think our mission is going to go by very fast!
